  1. Mavs have one of the best Top 8 lineups and THEN they have about 4 guys who would be part of other teams Top 8. So, depth – they’re gonna be good

  2. I'm surprised how many people expect Thunder to be #1 seed this season. They were #1 last year and the team has improved by a lot, but the improvement will really pay come play offs time. For regular season I think they will actually miss Josh Giddey and his playmaking. This and the fact OKC was super healthy last year tells me they might be somewhere in top 4. Do you remember last year where Suns fans were saying that Booker is good enough to be a point guard for the Suns? He wasn't. I think the same might happen with SGA this year.

  3. Ty Jones is neither mystery nor conspiracy. He WANTED to take that minimum, betting on himself, with a chance to do big things if his guys stay healthy. Then he gets the bag.

  4. Minnesota takes a huge step back. Luka Syndrome is real, ask Ayton… Suns even with KD have never been the same.

Westheimer will kill the Nuggets, he belongs in China.

  5. Depth gets you regular season wins. Starters get you post-season wins.
    We improved at both.
We are headed for a 60 win season in the premiere conference, and we're going to have Home Court advantage in the Playoffs for the first time since… jeez… a long long time.

I called it last year. I said there is one team in the entire league that would beat us (badly) in a 7 game series, and 1 team that would give us a run for our money. That's the Celtics and the Nuggets respectively.

Now, we're a bit better and the Nuggets are a bit worse… and I think we can hang with the Celtics for a long series (hopefully, Kyrie won't suck against the Celtics, and we've got actual shooting outlets now). The Nuggets, I think we've got their number now.

For injuries, there's only 2 guys that can really effect our Playoffs readiness, and only 1 that can significantly hurt us in a regular season game.

I think we're headed right back to the Finals, and when we get there, the only team that can match up with us in the East is Boston. If they are for any reason eliminated before then, we could have a pretty easy trip through the playoffs if we have a reasonably healthy season.

  6. I love Booker's game. When Kyrie retires, my FIRST choice for someone to play the SG would be him. Those 2 would be amazing together….just in a different way from Kyrie.

Edwards said at a basketball camp where he and KD were being interviewed that to him, Booker was the MVP of the US run. He hit big shots, deferred to his teammates, and played the toughest defensive assignment every game. No desire to be in the spotlight, just did his job every game.

  7. The three teams that are COMPLETE wildcards are the Pelicans, Clippers, and Grizzlies. All 3 of huge problems with their stars getting injiured, but if they can stay healthy (and not suspended), they could be real threats to anyone in a 7 game series. Memphis is probably the most dangerous, and I have a bad feeling Edey is going to be a revalation instead of another John Koncak. He may be the only center in the league that can overwhelm Wemby (other than Victor's 3pt game). Same height and way stronger? Maybe the quickness makes too much of a difference, or maybe it's a Yao Ming / Shaq situation where the disciplined guy can mess up the athletic guy's game.

  8. On paper OKC should be first, but their new team won't start paying off til playoffs start. Hartenstein and Caruso will take a few weeks or months to get accumulated to the team. Daigneault will experiment lineups with Hartenstein and Holmgren together. Caruso will probably take less time since he can just take the Dort or Wallace role. They also lost a ball handler in Giddey so J-Dub will have a huge increase in his load on offense which can make him prone to injury and the same applies to Shai.

  9. Dj Junior was good in dallas but I think he will be ofeence liability in clipers. He was good becousse of luka and the sistem. He is vwry good defender but will be bad in other ofence sistem.

  10. Here’s the thing; Reggie, Slightly and Dana are all better at this than Isaac. They’re more skilled at speaking on the mic, objectively. But these two just have a THANG and it’s infectious. Good to have the boys back.

  11. Clippers missing po, winning the lottery and giving up Flagg to Thunder would be the funiest shit ever.
