Pelicans went 7-7 at the end of the season, when Ingram got injured. They were better than 49 wins. Zion has never played in the playoffs. Brandon has been there for every post season, even when injured. A healthy Ingram changes the dynamic of the Pelicans completely. They went 30-15 in the 45 games prior to Ingrams injury. He had taken the least amount of attempts per game in his pelican career and was the teams defecto pg. He shot 39% from 3 in that stretch and the Pels gave away atleast 5 extremely winable games(-1, Grizzlies, -2, Grizzlies, -2 Rockets, -5 Mavs, -6 Celtics) which would have changed that record to 35-10 and the overal record to 54-28. That would have placed them at the 4th seed, which is where they were at when B.I. went down against the Magic in game number 69. They needed a pg and they needed to get rid of the defensive liabilities in the starting unit (CJ and JV). Done and done. DJ is gonna be the engine of the team. Karlo and Theis are the perfect compliments for Zion and Ingram, shot blocking, mobile, 3 point shooters. First preseason game is in 3 weeks. They will look amazing with CJ out of the starting 5. Book it.

CJ was a HORRIBLE pg/shooter in the clutch minutes of game 1. Pick and rolls with Larry Nance???? Getting locked up by a rookie???? Bricking open shots???? SMH….Ingram was hurt but was still making defensive plays and wasn’t getting scored on. OKC was targeting CJ. Go rewatch the end of that game, talking bout CJ almost won you that game lol. CJ lost us that game!!!😂
