Miami Heat’s training camp roster better than last two? | Five on the Floor

The Miami Heat open training camp in the Bahamas at the start of October, with less optimism from the fan base than in some recent years. Is that warranted? Ethan Skolnick and Alex Toledo break down this roster against 2023 and 2022.

  1. the biggest draw back is Butler. He is older now. No matter how well other players improve, it still comes down to Jimmy and you can make an argument that Jimmy's decline was on full display last year. The only hope is for either JJ or Jovic makes a real leap this season.

  2. If we need to ask what version of Jimmy are we are going to get we need to trade him before the season starts….

  3. everyone is down on this team because they’re acting like something they’re not. They’re not contenders. They have a nice young core so embrace that and let that jimmy shit go, these 2 times lines are just a waste of time, it’s not about the team it’s about the state of the franchise, embrace it completely that the jimmy era is over and move on.

  4. Good Lord not this again…Last season we were supposed to have more depth…Now roster's "better"…We'll see

  5. The Heat are stealthily transitioning to a young team; meanwhile Bucks, Celtics, Philly, just continue to get older

  6. Sorry but you guys are never right , Bam will be Bam ,Tyler will be Tyler , Jaime is good but too he is what he is maybe will expand his game , so once again you expect Jimmy to be the savior so to speak, Terry should help , l hope Jimmy gets traded to the warriors, so he has some sort of chance for a ring and l think that was Jimmy's issue last year no help

  7. We don't care about 7-20 if you have the same 8 guys running most of the time, its running it back.

  8. When they run it back, your content also suffers. Another year of yapping about Tyler/Bam taking a leap. Another year of hoping JB goes nuclear in the playoffs. Another year hoping Spo can continue to beat out far more talented teams in the playoffs. Haven’t been able to listen to an episode for a while already

  9. Heat fans have been listening to the same story since after the bubble. Doesn’t matter that we made the finals in 2022-23, we were a play-in team riding on an all time performance from Jimmy until he got injured. The roster has always been flawed and Jimmy has to make miracles happen in order to give us a chance. Just get this dude some real help, not another fringe rotation.
