Damn what a G Oscar was. Just called the KKK a bunch of cowards.

  2. A true OG.

Cant imagine trying to play clearheaded with shit like that going on. It’d definitely be a huge mental challenge. Those early black players (of all sports) are true heroes of mental fortitude.

Plot twist : the kid at the door was the shooter but he got scared once he seen him and asked for an autograph instead 😆

The Big O is looking like a million bucks. Man is 85

Wish this interview took place on literally anyone else’s platform but he had to go on these bum ass dudes show. A 48 year old gang banger who’s Muslim on weekends, who checked in with teenagers on OBlock, and Matt Barnes corny ass who let Derek fisher take his girl. He should have gone on Jeff Teague shit

And before any of, y’all tell me I’m trippin and I’m being close minded. Please go through my post history. I’m very active on r/Blackmen where we try to uplift brothers of all ages. Don’t die on the hill for two millionaire grifters who don’t give a shit about you

Moved to Indianapolis at 18 months. Oscar attended Crispus Attucks HS. By ‘59 he would have been at University of Cincinnati.

To think these people are still alive, been passing their disgusting values down to their children and others that are running around this country today. Scary shit.

For some context, the Dixie Classic was an annual tournament in Raleigh in the 1950s, around Christmastime, that featured NC State, UNC, Duke, Wake Forest (before they moved to Winston-Salem), and four top teams from around the country. It ended in 1961 because of a point shaving scandal involving UNC and NC State players. Here’s a little more on Oscar Robertson and the Dixie Classic:

Probably still put up a triple-double. What a legend

The amount of bs black players had to put up with, not even a lifetime ago. Smh

Wild. Even without the personal history it takes some guts to go and play with a death threat over your head. Being brave and kind at the same time is a pretty rare thing and props to him.

Anyone else find it hilarious Jackson said “We always the bigger people” after he quadrupled down supporting a hateful fake Hitler quote? As if he has even a shred of character compared to Oscar.

I saw a comment the other day where a guy said his grandparents grew up during the 60’s and racism wasn’t as bad as they say it was and it’s all just made up by the media
