Lifelong Sixers fan here. Ewing played 80 or more games in every season of his prime. Robinson had 1 season ofchis prime where he played 68, then the other 6 seasons of his prime he was 80 games or more. IFFFF Embiid were able to maintain his level of play throughout an entire season without getting injured, I'd say his peak is better than Ewing and comparable to Robinson. However, that aint the case!
Ewing is an all time great defender especially before his injuries that slowed him down. He could recover really well. And his scoring peaking in the late 80s early 90s too. I think he’s better than Embiid for now.
If it weren’t for Jordan and the Bulls, Ewing and the Knicks coulda went to 3 straight finals and possibly win atleast 1 of them. Jordan was a dynasty stopper
David Robinson was elite in the postseason unlike Embiid. He was an elite, elite defender. Like Olajuwon he was ranked in blocks and steals. Only thing Embiid has is better perimeter skills, as the game has changed. Bol Bol has better perimeter skills that Shaq, so the f*ck what 😂
Anyone who thinks Ewing was better at basketball than healthy Embiid doesn’t have a functioning brain. You can rank him higher because health/longevity but Embiid is very obviously better. Robinson is actually arguable so thats fine
People got this argument messed up. The ONLY thing Embid is better at is a jumper and dribbling. Robinson faster, stronger, more athletic, 5x the defender, better passer, better leader and he stays healthy.
Depends on how much value you put on defense from your center. If u care alot, 90s bigs both better, if not the 3pt shooting and ft hitting big is better than both.
Yes he better in the regular season then P Ewing but David career and overall he’ll no 😅😅😅😂😂 Emblid only good at scoring and middy but injuries has stunted his growth
Ewing is so underrated. He aceraged something like at least 20 points, at least 10 rebounds and at least 2.5 blocks per game for like the first 13 or 14 years of his career in a row.
He's tripping David Robinson has a Quadruple double on his resume played against legit competition every night and is 21-6 against the great Hakeem Olojuwon and got 2 Rings
How can you even compare doesn’t make since they playing in 2 different eras and in this era the game made more for the offensive player to succeed look at the spacing

Embiid was honestly the best NBA player last season until he got hurt. A healthy Joel Embiid is easily a regular season MVP. 💯
