I’m a bit sad we lost Koloko but excited for Chomche and Mogbo getting there chances for the Raptors

> They have access to his medical records and doctors and should have done much more thorough research on his condition and future outlook.
Seems like the whole thesis hinges on “the Raptors should have not been so stupid with the medical issues”.
I think until we know more, it’s a pretty big assumption to make.

lol what an incredibly poorly written story, the last paragraph directly contradicts the main thesis of the piece and they provide nothing new or any useful insight. “Sourgraping aside, the fanbase shouldn’t be too upset about losing Koloko” So it’s barely an issue
HistoricalWash6930
oh man I missed his suggestion we waive mcdaniels lol. Did he miss that we turned him into Davion Mitchell and 2 2nds? That’s worth way more than keeping Koloko on the roster in the hopes that he could play again.

If there’s any hindsight to be had, it’s them not immediately waiving Jordan Nwora
Dude isn’t good, he wasn’t good for us and he isn’t on an NBA roster to my knowledge

Klutch represents both Chomche and Koloko. Maybe they didn’t want them competing for opportunities?

Kinda funny how most of you are obsessing over Koloko.. he’s gone. It’s time to look ahead at the current roster and hope for more wins moving forward.

The front office didn’t like what they saw enough. If he was 18 or 19 probably different story but he’s 24 so after the diagnosis they just waived him.

We have the most categorically overrated FO in the league. Uh huh. LeBron left the East and we managed to make a finals against a team that had two all stars go down. How many flubs does that really get you? Lets go wayyyy back to keeping Casey for years after it was evident he could not coach a playoff team. Or that Norm Powell move. Drafting and development these guys do in fact get it. They’re good at that. But beyond that it’s just a hapless directionless shit show of chaos.

It came down to did the Raptors like Koloko enough to cut Bruno Fernando (even though Bruno is on a non-guarantee). Bruno has been spotted practicing with the Raptors (esp IQ) this summer, and apparently Darko is a fan of his. Looking at the results, it was probably the Raptors who said no to Koloko and rather have Bruno keep the last spot and develop Chomche, Mogbo etc.

You guys are acting like we lost a 20/20 player. This is a guy who played 58 games with us and averaged 3/3 and showed some promise. He may not even be cleared to play by the end of it. It sucks that the situation forced us to waive him but it’s ok that he signed somewhere else. Hopefully he can have a good career but it will be a long road back. Maybe he does his 2 way with the Lakers and then comes back to us next season

2nd round pick that hasn’t played in years.
From a basketball perspective, this isn’t actually a setback.
We just like the guy and want to cheer for him.

This is someone frustrated with the FO and looking for reasons to complain.

From the article, it’s all you need to know how good this article is: Waive Garrett Temple. By the time of the trade, it might have been better for the Raptors to waive Temple, fire their coach, and make Temple the interim coach.

This is more of a thesis than fact
bearbear0723
This article is dumb and just looking to build resentment from the casuals towards the FO. He was medically unfit so the Raptors FO did what they had to do.

Koloko isn’t anything special. Yah it sucks we lost him for nothing but move on, it’s part of the business.
YoungD23
Lol, this ain’t even a story. Koloko is nothing special. He’s going to be waived by Lakers and everyone crying going to finally see it.
