While I think all of us would prefer to have gone into the season with a deeper Center rotation, losing IHart was a major blow and not something we could easily recover from. I’m sure there were some attempts over the summer, but as the article points out we still have a lot of flexibility to make a move in season. I think Leon has earned our trust that at some point, a move will be made and it’ll be an upgrade.

For now, pray that Mitch is able to avoid major injury, and having Precious and Julius play small ball C when he’s out of the game should be enough on most nights.

Basically we loaded up on guards in the hopes that teams need guys like these mid-season… and get us a big in the process. Pretty smart, but you could say Leon is typically always playing 4D chess

I think we will struggle to find C which has similar ego to IHart. IHart was happy to prove himself, playing as back up or as a starter. Kessler would be a good pick, however, would he be happy to be back up? It’s fine throwing trade ideas around, but at the end of the day we need a team which can coexist and have chemistry. Just adding C who’s good enough to be a starter is not an answer. Better load on guards and who will compliment your team.

No bigs on the market, sign the guard depth and trade it during the season when teams need to fill out their roster due to injuries or adding depth of their own

Stock the roster with a surplus of 3 and D types; they’re the bread and butter of the league, be patient and opportunistic as other teams show needs.
