This is disgusting. But it shows how important touch is at close range. You can get away with a lot if your wrist flick is clean

  2. He definitely had a weird way of shooting.

Unrelated but I remember Bill telling Michael something along the lines of “not trying that bully shit on him”, and punching teammates with him because he didn’t play that and he’d fuck Michael up. Michael listened to him and never did him like how he did Steve Kerr.

    Edit:

    > “I don’t like what you’re saying to our teammates about me,” Cartwright told Jordan, as quoted by Archysport. “I don’t want you to do it anymore. If I hear you do it again, you’re never going to be able to play basketball again because I’m going to break both of your legs.”

I thought Joakim Noah’s was weird but this is…something else.

  5. He shot jumpers like that too, and was even a good midrange shooter for that era

It’s a shame Lonzo Ball is always hurt, he could be the torchbearer for dudes with fucked-up shooting form

I mean what the hell. I get that old heads love pre-2000 basketball but it was a lawless wasteland of this kind of stuff

MJ really got a 6 peat with this guy and Luc Longley starting. 🤦‍♀️

Ah so this is where Mikal’s inspiration came from!

My life hurts and I want to throw up.

The NASTIEST shooting form I’ve ever seen in my life and I’ve seen plenty.

same as golf, doesn’t matter if you can create something consistent.

USF turns out some bad dudes (looking at you too Bill Russell).

  13. IndicationMaleficent

Imo, this shows the exponential difference as you go above 75%. ie. going from 75% to 80% takes a shit ton of more work than going from 70 to 75%.

dude shoots like one of the Village People

  15. prettyboylee

Did you come across this cause of the Mikal Bridges shooting form video?

  16. TranscedentalMedit8n

Thank god 2K wasn’t around bad then 😂

(I know he’s in the classics rosters but still)

Better percentage than Lebron, thats for sure. Lebron should have learned to shoot granny style.

  18. jpb21110

Dude is 6 inches away from the hoop on that release

  19. MambaSaidKnockYouOut

Man I remember playing with the Bulls on 2k back in the day and his free throw threw me ALL THE WAY OFF. Like when I released the shooting stick he still had the ball at his waist

  20. GERBILSAURUSREX

If you ignore the weird build-up, it isn’t even that weird. He pulls his arm back, bends his knees, generates the power from both in one motion, and follows through.

  21. Ok-Metal-91

Who was the Grandma free throw shooter? Didn’t he have the highest free throw percentage of anyone?
