Particularly thinking about Stackhouse as an organized talented All Star wing coming in to work to get our defense more precise (along with DeMarco). Also was someone Dray looked up to early in his career – has a way to keep guys answerable as a former player. Recently was coaching for Vanderbilt.

Stoot was Portland’s coach and got them far with a shallow team – he’s talked about adding organization to our offense and to better figure out an integration of the young core (while keeping Steph-Dray current offense).

I think having these two new talented coaches – with the slew of new vet signings – and everyone’s high on Steph’s performance in the Olympics, should help us figure out a solid (not just slightly tweeked) approach and integration for this year.

Jerry Stackhouse is one of the firmest personalities in basketball… that MFer has always meant business. My suspicion is Stacks presence will lead better accountability esp on defense. I love that hire.

Terry Stotts is just a rock solid basketball coach the whole way round he essentially is another version of Mike Brown just a successful coach at all levels including as the Blazers HC. Was a Warriors assistant long ago if I remember correctly. I was in college lol I’m pretty old.

It was time for change and they got two awesome coaches imo.
