The Tatum take is still the LOM dumb take of the playoffs. JT unlocks EVERYTHING they do defensively. Guards 1-5 and lead the team in PTS/RBS/Assists the entire playoffs. How is that not the best player? Also JB doesn't see anywhere NEAR the same defensive coverages. JB is seeing single coverages while JT saw at times double and triple teams. They're objectively not the same.
JB had some major moments which is why he won ECF MVP. I don't think he deserved Finals MVP–I'd have leaned JT personally but those are the breaks. Nick is firmly trolling here. Isaac might actually believe this stupid take.

We are saying luka is to get no1 player in NBA title this season because his team is the best one he has had thus far and they might win more games in regular season ? There is nothing in this logic that talks about how good individual player is. You CANT base individual brilliance on team success you just cant …luka has been best player in nba since his second year and its not even close …he has been all nba 1st team 4 times out of his 5 seasons in NBA …that is more then 99.999% of all nba players EVER ..
