    The adidas contract he signed before getting injured was a 14 year, $190 million one from October 2011 to September 2025.

    AKA as long as he’s in the league, Adidas is paying him. Probably making more from that than he is from NBA vet minimums lmao. Terrible contract for Adidas, but good on him for getting it signed before all those injuries.

    Tho I’d expect him to at least play one more season in that case to recoup the full value. I wonder if he decides to play one last season in Chicago before hanging it up.

    If this is the end of the line, honestly as great a player and force he did have at his peak, I think the impact he’s had off of it is going to be what I remember most about him. To this day. Inspirational to a lot of people and community driven. Certainly far from a perfect man, but he made an impact.
