Ya russ was consistent on defense last season for the clippers I’d argue his defense is his best skill at this stage of his career given the 15-20 mpg he will be playing.
People do talk about his defense, how bad it is.

He’s fine at PoA defense, but team defense was not good at all. Constantly gets lost on switches or makes the wrong decision on the P&R. If it was just a game of 1on1 ISO basketball, he was doing fine.

Oh man this is better then i could have even imagined. One underrated thing about russ effect is the pressure to actually have to play him even if you might not want to. Due to things like his past prestige, his more outward personality, relationship with other players, just straight up not knowing if hes really good or really bad or both and his loud fanbase. Although that last factor seems to have dwindled a bit.
