  1. Blazers have nothing to lose. They gave Sc00t a year to adjust to the league and now they should throw him out there to grow. If he falls on his face, determine whether that's developmental or detrimental, and adjust.
But he needs to be playing with vets with real minutes and actually given the opportunity to compete and win. Otherwise, he may become complacent and we could turn into the pre-Edwards Twolves.

  2. A reasonable excuse for Scoot not playing summer league. He had a nagging injury or soreness and the staff didn't even want to risk it before the season.

  3. I may be wrong, but I think a reason for Scoot forgoing Summer League was the fact that he is putting in SERIOUS WORK this offseason. I think he has locked himself way and put in a crazy amount of time to be way more effective this year.
His outlook right now, he is probably coming off the bench, he was ineffective for a lot of last year, and some view him as a bust. I'm confident we will see a new version of Scoot, and we could see the FO be comfortable moving Ant by the end of the year.

  4. Scoot had a very up and down year, but put up some of the best single game numbers of any rookie. I'm guessing that he didn't play because he didn't make any rookie teams- even though he should have and would have been more of a distraction than a help. Confidence is a HUGE PART of professional sports and putting him out there in organized rat ball can go the wrong way. Let's not forget many dudes look great in SL and then never do anything of note in the NBA.
