Honestly not a bad move for the wolves. I don’t hate it

Feels like it makes the wolves worse this year, but maybe have flexibility to keep Reid now? Only explanation

I feel Randle and Ant ain’t gonna work together

I’m just upset that the Knicks broke up the nova Knicks before they all even played a game together. Especially since it’s right after Brunson took that massive pay cut. I can’t imagine he approved of this trade. He must feel so betrayed right now.
I also wonder how the Thibs + KAT reunion is going to go. I was under the impression that they didn’t end things on a high note. Though i may just be associating Thibs with Butler a bit too much.

looks like an idiotic panic move by the Knicks. They should have at least tried the complete Nova Knicks squad

NYK would have been so much better with iHart. On the floor and the cap sheet.
Maybe this works for them if KAT can ramp up his O similar to pre-Rudy and his D is fine.
I like it for the Wolves. Gives Naz a bigger role, add 2 really good players and pick up a (weak) first.

Wolves get off of Kats supermax cancer contact and pick up Donte. Seems like a lateral move in the short term but a pretty good long term play.

Fear. They know their window is closing and the Thunder are that good.

My immediate impressions are:
Knicks: Congrats, I think? I think this move raises their ceiling and maybe moderately lowers their floor. They’ve got better spacing now with KAT at the 5, and he’s less ball dominant than Randle, which frees up Brunson to have the ball more. They’re a bit more shallow now but that matters less when Thibs is your coach and he plays 7 dudes 40 minutes anyways 😅 if they can scrounge together enough shooting to compensate for losing Donte I think they’ll be fine
Wolves: what…the fuck are you doing? The Randle and Rudy frontcourt is horrendous spacing for Edwards. I love Donte, but he’s not worth that downgrade. Also, shipping away the guy who has loyally stood by your mid franchise for a decade only to trade him away as soon as you have a contender is a weird culture move.
KAT: gotta feel bad for the guy for reasons I just touched on. He stuck with them through thick and thin, and just when things are looking good for the team, he gets dumped in a salary saving move with almost no notice at all. And he’s reunited with a coach he didn’t get along with in Minnesota to boot. I hope they’re successful just for him and he drops 50 on the Wolves.

I don’t think this is a particularly good trade for either team, honestly.

We no longer have to deal with KAT in our division. It’s a great day!
