[Charania] Knicks have acquired Karl-Anthony Towns from Minnesota for Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo and a first-round pick via Detroit, sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski.

That first round pick will like never convey with it’s protections before anyone freaks out about it

Knicks took Paul Pierce’s comments personally

I really think this move is good for the Knicks, but time will tell

  5. YesImSleepie

are either teams fans even happy with this? lmfao

  6. G1Spectrum

Lmao wow Wolves really felt the need to dump KAT

  7. Southern_sky

Knee jerk reaction. I just don’t see how this move is beneficial for either team

I mean, Wolves *needed* to cut the salary, eventually.

Just made the wcf and giving up a pretty good shooting big for Julius Randle?

How does New York keep getting great trades for the low?

it’s a heavily protected first from the fucking pistons, we didn’t pay much but goddamn this is certainly a trade

An objective downgrade at the 4, a sixth man, and a heavily protected first for the most prominent franchise cornerstone you’ve had in 20 years…all while coming off a conference finals appearance. Brilliant.

Look we have been trying to tell you all that KAT is way less corny than he seems. We’ve been begging you to give him the respect he deserves. Now that he’s a Knick, finally fans will start to take notice that we’ve been lying like crazy. Donte Divincenzo come to papa

Bro I forgot knicks got bridges too lol. That team is stacked

Also why would Minnesota even do this? Julius Randle is absolutely not what they need to push them over the top. If anything, he makes them worse

I can’t fuckin believe the Knicks got rid of DiVincenzo before they even got to see what the ‘Nova core was capable of.

Truly sad. They should have given it a year at least, give those guys a chance to compete together.

  17. Dumb as fuck.

    Conley-Ant-Jaden-Randle-Gobert.

Do they think Ant is literally Micheal Jordan?

Randle a career 33% from deep, and hoists up 6 a game. Gobert can’t shoot, and mcdaniels has been as bad a shooter as Randle for 2/4 seasons.

If Ant struggled to adjust to the spacing with Gobert, he’s gonna have to become Stephen Curry if he wants to score with Randle.

Randle will also be taking a nice amount of his isolations, comes with a piss poor attitude, and lacks the gravity KAT has off the ball. Defensively he’s not even an upgrade.

I’m floored I really liked that wolves team and KAT was a huge part of the reason why.

This 100% was a cost cutting measure. Nothing else could explain this deal. The Knicks are over the moon right now.

strange that the wolves decided to trade KAT away when he played such a huge role in getting them to the WCF. They don’t beat Denver without him. He was excellent defending Jokic in that series, him and Gobert. idk man, maybe I’m just sad they’re splitting up the KAT/ANT duo.
