I feel like Minnesota is getting ripped off. I still like the Celts, but this is huge for the Knicks.

Well there better be a shit ton of unprotected 1sts, which I thought Minnesota traded for Gobert because otherwise this is a braindead trade by the Wolves.

Timberwolves got ripped off but the Knicks still don’t move me

At least they broke up the Nova Knicks

Last season was amazing as a Celtics fan winning the east by double digit games or whatever we won by, but this year the east should be more competitive which is better for the nba. Still idk if we will finish with the no 1 seed but I’m pretty confident we repeat

Both (Towns & Randle) dissappears in the playoffs. Stalemate.

I am not concerned at all a fully healthy Celtics team can beat them!!!!! Plus the Nicks history, Celtics all day🔥🔥🔥

Can someone explain why the Timberwolves would want this trade? How does it make them any better?

It’s early but I can’t believe the Wolves are this stupid… that’s crazy. KAT in NY is going to be tough.

I see a LOT of C’s fans saying they’re not worried, but I’m a C’s fan and NYK and PHI making moves plus the Bucks being healthy (and destroying us during the regular season) should at least be taken seriously by our guys.

Whos gonna own KAT in the playoffs?

So they are just fully attempting to build a team to beat us right? I mean first a good wing defender in bridges and now a big with good three point shooting? If Brunson could play defense I’d be a little worried

My blog boy take that I 75% believe: Divincenzo is the most impactful playoff player in this trade. It makes all kinds of sense for the Knicks in terms of positional need and KAT is fantastically talented but it’s hard to trust him as a rock solid playoff guy. Pick and roll with whoever Brunson and Towns are guarding is easy money

People are underrating this trade. Brunson with Randle would never work since they both need the ball. When Brunson sits, Mikal can take over for a while. Come January, Knicks would have a double big lineup of Towns and Robinsons.

I still think we’re better though. But they filled out their gaps nicely

Looks like competition is back on the menu boys!

Knicks won this trade for the simple fact that Julius Randle sucks.

I get that they needed a Center and KAT is a great player, but they basically lost a rotational guy by also moving DiVincenzo

They can start Brunson, Hart, Bridges, Anunoby and KAT and then their bench is what? Miles McBride and Precious Achiuwa? Until Robinson comes back.

The Knicks were formidable because they had 8 guys and Randle was already a solid number 2. They had depth and talent. The fit might be better but they’re going to be giving playoff minutes to Marcus Morris or Cameron Payne or only able to run 7 guys, which is kinda what did them in last year of running guys thin.

I can’t help but feel like this made them worse because KAT, like Randle, isn’t a rim protector so this doesn’t solve their issues of missing the 1 guy who can actually play center.

Brunson at point and KAT at center and you run them both in a PnR action all day and it’s bbq chicken for literally any of the Celtics starting 5

This is a good trade for the Knicks because of the bad fit between Brunson and Randle, and the fact that OG steps right into Randle’s natural position.
Towns spaces the floor and lets them play Hart a lot easier.

They definitely can’t switch 1-5 now though. Their 2-3-4 defenders are still very good in Hart, Bridges and OG.

Those guys are going to have their work cut out for them on that end with a 6 foot lead guard and piss poor rim projection on the floor.

I like Randle more for Minnesota than NY and Donte looks like he could ramp up his production a ton. I would bet Minnesota fans are down on this trade though.
