  1. Rob held on to his assets to get the best deal he could for Russ. Now I want him to do it again and make another good deal at the RIGHT time.

You posting this because you think that KAT trade disproves this?

  3. Not sure what point you’re trying to make. Are you shitting on Rob because of the KAT trade? How did you expect the Lakers to get involved?

Fuck Rob, but he’s not wrong. Not many trades this year compared to last. New CBA and all things considered, the offseason was eventful with big players and role players moving teams.

    Last year we got the:

    – Dame to Bucks trade

    – Jrue Holiday to Celtics

    – Harden to Philly

    – OG Anunoby to the Knicks

    – Siakam to the Pacers.

    This year, we got:

    – KAT Knicks trade

    – Buddy Hield to the Warriors!

Saying trades aren’t significant while you CLEARLY need improvements is infuriating

Excuses. Notice how he phrases this—”I think”—which tells us that it’s just his opinion, not a fact. And the notion of a “supply of trades” is misleading because trades aren’t some finite resource you simply tap into. Making a trade requires active effort, negotiation, and communication. It’s not about what’s available; it’s about going out there and making it happen.

Rob pelinka is one of an extremely short list of GMs who know what trades are being offered and what’s actually out there…. Yet Reddit constantly feels like they know more than people who literally are the only ones who know

year after year Rob always has an excuse

  9. KingNephew

I’m fully expecting Pelinka not to make any significant trades for the remainder of the LeBron/AD era which is honestly over in like a year.

  10. Best part of this season is that Reddish, Woods and Hayes are expiring contracts.

I know y’all are trying to make this a gotcha moment but just because the Knicks got this trade doesn’t mean this trade was ever even possible for the Lakers.
