he was a very good player but had his flaws – as do many players. the biggest complaint i had about him was his effort and mental breakdowns etc. how he played had flaws but overall you took the bad with the good and there was a lot more good. it always felt weird that thibs didn’t demand defense from him when most other guys will get chewed out. it was like thibs knew he was fragile mentally and didn’t want to send him off the deep end or something.
when he was on he was a top player in this league. i wish him the best and it’s sad to see him go but happy he goes to a winning situation in minny. it’s a shame we never got to see what the knicks could have done in the playoffs last year with a healthy team. now we’ll never know but i’m confident Kat is an upgrade and we had a legit shot to get at least 1 chip in the next 2-4 years.

He’s above STAT imo in terms of all time Knicks. Salute to the Sarge. But his injury issues I guess were too problematic for a win now team like us. Would’ve loved to see him get a chance though
