Austin Reaves is going to be an All Star in some years, this is both a belief and hope for me. Wishful perhaps, but he is my favourite player on the Lakers after Bron and AD.

I think Austin is going to have a breakout year under JJ, but with Dlo how could he have a similar breakout? They’re gonna be sharing possessions as the ball handler, unlike Brunson who is THE guard in New York.
But I’m very excited to see the fun stuff JJ has in store with the offense. Even going back to Vogel, I’ve always wanted to see LeBron and the Lakers use more ball movement over isolation. AD as the hub and LeBron more as a screener and cutter just sounds like so much fun.

Austin was getting calls 2 years ago. Last year not as much. I hope he continues to drive in the paint to collapse the defense

Even if he had that type of potential, he won’t reach it sharing guard duties with D’lo. He needs a defensive minded guard next to him so he can be the lead guard.

Delusional comment from Pelinka. Reaves isn’t an all-star talent but that’s fine. Very good role player who could be bordering elite if his defense somehow got much better (Jrue Holiday and Derrick White)

He’s gotta get better one on one for that. A lot of the time his isos look clunky and he doesn’t always make the best decisions when he needs to pass out of it. I’d love to see it though.
