As a Wolves fan I would have traded Kat and his max contract for Divo straight up. Kat is such a baby. He's a drain on the team. I think we'll probably trade Randle also
Knicks didn't want to extend JR contract & as much as I love Donte shooting guards are a dime a dozen. We now have a real modern day NBA center who actually has a perimeter game which we haven't had since Ewing.

I am starting to like this trade as it sinks in! It makes sense! Yes, it hurts losing Dante, but he was not a starter, and you know he wants an opportunity to showcase his talents. Hopefully, he can. As for us, we needed a young big man and a perimeter guy, and now we have it. Let's go, Knicks!!

F' Divo you racist clowns. Divo was absolutely atrocious defensively and got exposed for it in the playoffs, resulting in his benching. You guys know nothing about defensive basket, so you never noticed how bad he was. If he wasn't hitting 3s, he was useless. Losing part of the Nova Knicks is the ONLY reason he's such a big loss. But of course you guys are upset over losing the white guy.
Now the real loss is Randall. Randall was a dog. He isn't soft like Towns. Other than Jalen, Randall was the only one capable of carrying them offensively if Brunson was hurt or struggling. Bridges and OG are not that kinda player. Unlike soft Towns, Randall can play both inside and outside. Matter of fact, there are videos out there showing soft Towns incapable of posting up smaller guys like James Harden. So soft Towns is just going to be hanging out behind the 3pt line in the half court set? That's what we acquired from this trade? Randall could do that and bully his way down low. If the goal is to win a ring next year, the hell with Randall's contract situation and just focus on winning a Ring in his final year.
Finally, it's amazing how Towns' name has been connected to the Knicks all off-season, yet no one in the media was screaming for it to happen already. Now that it happens, all these guys are all about it. That means to me that guys like Sal don't truly believe what they are saying, they just wanna believe it's going to work and they wanna believe in everything Leon Rose does is going to work.
The only way to salvage such a joke trade is acquiring a legit big who can defend like Nick Richards or Walker Kessler

Minnesota won this deal. They get a tough 4 that gave you Towns like production AND they get DiVincenzo who can drop 30 off the bench. The Knicks got a very good player that is injury prone and disappears in big moments.
