The trade doesnt affect the Lakers. If your not doing your own work, nothing others do affects you either way.
The most it does is likely end moves by the Knicks now. While adding to the Wolves need to make more moves for salary cap reasons.
Rob is doing the long play which isnt sexxy, but usually pays off. Lakers in '22 and Mavs in '23 for recent examples. This strategy took the Lakers to the Conf. Finals 2 seasons ago. As well as the Mavs last year. Ham I believe was the biggest issue other than injuries to the roster up and down.
Healthy roster, better staff decision making, determining what needs improving prior to trade deadline has the opportunity of going further and positioned better for the playoffs.
This is a team that went to the west conf finals 2 years ago. As well as made it into and further than was expected due to coaching blunders.
Just an average coach they win a few more games and seeded as to miss the nuggets
Theres a lot of positives for improved success doesnt mean it happens, thats why they still play the games.
I bet they are banking on Naz Reid as a starter long term. Won't surprise me if they extend Naz midseason and let Randle walk at the end of the season.
I hate the idea of thinking this is a terrible trade. I feel like it's the same thinking Magic had when he originally let Randle and Brook Lopez walk because of supposed fit. It may not be perfect or ideal for the T Wolves. It was necessary for them to move on from either Gobert or Towns. I would have chosen to move on from Towns as well. It's always hard to get rid of a really good player. However, this will allow Ant to fully flesh his own identity and grow. Unlike Towns, Randle may push him to achieve such.

Nobody doing business with the Lakers if the trade doesn’t include Austin Reaves.
The only reason they did that is because they dont want to keep Katt, they are top-heavy. They are commiting to keep Naz. So they have money for him now. I think this is obvious
I see Minnesota in the same position that Utah was during the Donovan Mitchell-Rudy Gobert days. A playoff team with a star guard featuring Mike Conley and Rudy but just couldn’t get over the hump. Wouldn’t be surprised if they blow it up the same way.
This move made OKC the clear cut favorites in the West. Spacing will be a challenge for the TWolves but they’re still gonna be a top 5 defensive team.

I think you tripping down playing Julius he's still a 20+ 10 guy and I think Minnesota got faster. Katt is a taller version of Julius basically IMO
I think Lakers should trade Nick Richards or Goga Bitadze or Mitchell Robinson. All are 7-footer with defense. Even Castleton is 7-footer, he's clumsy. Also, why not try to add Jake Stephens to the roster? He's a 7-footer with 7'10" wingspan? Aside from that, he's also a legit 3-point shooter.
Wolves should have Randle coming off the bench and start Naz Reid who shot better than KAT last year and plays better D. Antman is going to get mins w/Joe Ingles and DiVincenzo who attempted 700 three pointers at .400 last year. The other two who had more was Luka and Steph. So in conclusion Wolves got better and DiVincenzos gravity is going to pull defenders off Antman so he can attack. Btw Wolves wont hit the 2nd tax apron next year by dealing KAT and his trade value is high rn.

Dont understand why all these stats people tend to forget what the court, the Eye and the reality tells us.. with KAT they were destined to lose and the had no money to do anything.. in the worst scenario they are going to lose as they would do if KAT still on the roster.. did everybody forget about KAT and his performances in years, when Needed?.. c'mon, he is not a rookie.. the Knicks are not the winners here.. not if they dont win it all..
