Still need to make a trade to contend, but I do believe that the team will be much better than most people are projecting them to be. The goal is to be good enough so that other teams don’t view us as desperate at the trade deadline.
The ceiling for this roster is the Western conference finals. To be a true contender, we need to upgrade at the deadline.

Let’s compare to the defending champions right now. Don’t know how this team beats the Celtics. Lebron AD is better than the Js. But 3/4/5/6/7 on the Celtics is better than the Lakers right now. Not gonna find someone better than Jrue Holiday/Derrick White. But using the 2 FRP the team can update and improve the roster.

Idk if we can win a title with this team, but what I’ll say is- almost everyone on the roster INCLUDING JHS AND LEWIS FOR GOODNESS SAKE- mentioned a level of communication, seriousness, and expectations changing with JJ. I mean my God, I can’t believe how many guys mentioned “well now I know what I’m supposed to be doing in these different situations.” Austin straight up saying they won a lot on just talent and figuring out the last 2 minutes.
