Some encouraging stats about KAT – had no idea how good of a 3 pt shooter he is. Out of 97 players who shoot min 5 3PA, he is 8th most efficient out of ALL players (including guards). WOW 🤯

I was ignorant of how good a passer he was too. Seeing some of the give and go highlights between him and KAT was quite eye opening

Agreed. He won 3 point shooting contest in 2022.
He also holds the record for the most three-pointers made by a center in NBA HISTORY!
This guy is going to be a game changer.

  3. Over 9 seasons his 3 pt average is 39.8%. He has shot 40% or better 5 times. Yes, he’s very good.

What if I told you his career 3pt avg is two percentage points higher than Donte’s….

Great video, thanks for sharing. KAT is truly a unicorn, the NBA has never seen a guy his size shoot 3s like he does — but as this video points out he also has a versatile, polished offensive repertoire. I cannot wait for this season to start.

I see the bandwagon starting to get bigger and I’m thinking optimistic as well, but man, that injury history is scaring the hell out of me.

  7. shreks_burner

He is the best shooting bigman ever, and I would have said that before the trade

  8. UnhappyTelevision243

The reaction to the trade showed how many have not watched him play much, he’s the best shooting big of all time

  9. That feeling of hopelessness we felt whenever embiid, porzingis or turner had those stellar 3pt shooting games against us..other teams are going to feel it when KAT splashes 6 3s on them

I knew, that’s how I won big in 2022 when he won the three point contest

One thing about KAT is that boy can shoot. He’s the greatest 3 point shooting big of all time. Can’t take that away from him

Yes, we know he is a fantastic shooter and offensive player. My issue is his health and his toughness in protecting the rim and cleaning the glass. I don’t want to have to force our wings and OG to make sure they never allow someone in the paint. That’s extra pressure they don’t need. Is he an upgrade? Yes. But at what cost? I enjoyed the identity of last years team and would have loved to see the January Knicks play a full season because I think that team could have gotten to the Finals.

  13. He has a weird personality but somehow having a weird personality is being conflated with “bad basketball player. KAT is a very good basketball player and will be awesome with Brunson.

I think we also have to factor in the cost of getting better when you are competitive. I remember some Yankees article from the past that mentioned that it was a lot easier to improve the roster from 70 to 80 wins than 90 to 95 wins.

Part of the resentment is the vacuum value of DDV and Randle (plus the pick) not measuring up. However, he’s a decent upgrade over Randle that fits the team better as long as he’s healthy. It hurts to lose DDV but there’s a chance that he was basically a 6th/7th man role.

Much like with Robinson, I only really care about people being fully healthy for the playoffs. If we can get Brunson/Mikal/OG/KAT/Robinson rotation healthy for the playoffs, then I’m happy.

The most impressive part with KAT for me is his off the dribble ability because that puts a lot of pressure on taller defenders to not get caught leaning.

Wow, so this sub is finally done crying? And realize we got a really good player? 😅

  16. Shit like this is why I cannot comprehend how a large part of the fanbase wants to send this trade back. Like what bruh do you even watch basketball?

here’s the thing, KAT early on was on the trajectory to be one of the greatest scoring big men ever. He was expected to be a franchise savior. I think he falls short there, but if you get past that, you realize we still got a helluva player and a star. A guy that can play the 4/5 which Randle couldn’t do, a guy that can space the floor like no big we’ve had since KP. and more importantly a guy that has proven he can put up 20/10 efficiently in the playoffs. These are all HUGE upgrades over Randle. OG and Mikal are great adds, but KAT is that 2nd star we needed.

  18. We wanna know about the defensive stats. Everyone knows he can score.

  19. There’s a reason why some make the argument he is the best shooting BIG of all time … he has straight out said he wants to go down in history as the best shooting BIG EVER
