There is no way they are above the Lakers and Bucks after the trade IMO. Also I'm predicting that Ant's growth won't be linear. As I don't expect a huge leap this year just more consistency. I don't know if that takes them back to the heights of last year 🤷🏾♂

Obviously KAT is still better but this is the main reason T-Wolves were willing to pull the trigger Donte is a legit stud and their financial flexibility long term improved drastically

A lot of what you said makes sense if you do a 1 for 1 swap of KAT for Randle in the starting 5. However, I do not think that will be the case. They need to either have Naz take KATs place in the rotation and have Randle and DiVincenzo off the bench, or have Randle replace KAT and Divincenzo replace McDaniels to up the shooting threat with two excellent creators in ANT and Randle getting him and Conley wide open looks from 3. Either way its still a strong starting five plus you have one of the very best benches in the NBA.
You can’t double Randle and double Ant. If they do how many good 3-point shooters and dump off to Rudy. Plus our defense is the best in the league and just got better with the trade. Drops 🎤 mic!
I think you are writing off that Jaden won’t shoot high 30s% from 3. If he does, half the points you make are probably less relevant about the Randle fit. Jaden has been grinding at catch and shoot in the offseason and he did shoot 39% in 2022-23
I just do not agree with the idea that the wolves got worse at pressuring the rim. On drives he is less turnover prone and has a higher assist percentage than KAT. Not saying he’s a better player, but the problem the wolves had in the playoffs was the ability to create advantages and get downhill, I think Randle does that well comparatively to KAT

This guy last year pretty much bet against the Wolves all the way to their ascent to the WCF. When he finally had to eat crow and admit he was wrong. Starting this season with the same lame analysis.

That’s as well as it’s been covered. My only push back is calling Dallas a bad match up in that they’ll prob be there again. I think that’s part of the trade to: they’ve become a better matchup vs teams like okc and Dallas and worst vs Denver.
