I think THE most important parts are:

    – Glen Taylor was only willing to agree to trade KAT if it didnt make the team clearly worse – he doesnt want the team to take a step back this season. Neither himself nor Lore/Rod would want to sign off on moves solely for cost-saving as that would hurt them in next month’s arbitration

    – The market for KAT was poor. This was the best deal the Wolves got. Initially the offer revolved around Randle and Robinson

I feel like they dropped a tier. They were up there with OKC, Boston and Dallas. Now they are not. Could they win it all? Sure, but I’m not as confident as I was a week ago.

Even more contender than before the trade!

We leveled up, not down! DDV and Randle are better than Kat and Kyle. We also have Ingles, Rob, TSJ instead of little mac and Morris.

Better more versatile and talented roster with cleaner fits.

I mean I’d hope so. I didn’t think they were switching to Capture the Flagg mode

    I mean, of course.

KAT is a unicorn in a lot of ways and we will miss a lot of things he brings to the table.

That said, his 3 point shooting was not only covered in this deal, it makes our bench a LOT better. And it was already damn good. And c’mon why are people negating that Julius Randle is a 3x all star, 2x all NBA player who also worked his ass off to be a most improved player as well. The guy is a beast.

We’re not going to forget KAT anytime soon, but this was NOT a step back for this team. It’s a pivot in the same direction forward.

The fact that this has to be said is all you need to know about Minnesota sports.

“Timberwolves see themselves slightly worse after deciding to trade Kat.”

    What a joke of a franchise 😂😂😂

If you guys bomb out, do you think this will be the thing that send the franchise back to the bottom?

As an outsider just genuinely curious what your guys thoughts are. If ant and KAT were right, could this cause him to ask out?

  10. Wolves did not get better offense got worse.

Oh, really? They still see themselves as contenders after making it to the semifinals?
