Draymond impressed by Quinten Post

Surprised but really cool to find Draymond praising Quinten Post on Day 3:

"I like him a lot. He can shoot the ball. He's super physical. He seeks contact on both sides of the court which is not always common in this league game today.

I like Quinten. He's smart. He talks. He's one of the guys I'm more impressed with. And not just at the start of camp but playing a couple of times in off season, seeing him in Vegas. I'm impressed with him."

Dray’s always one of the better interviews in the league.

Wildly, Kerr also says Draymond told HIM that he loves QP. Kerr says he is excited about QP too – that being a 5-year college player is meaningful. And that he fills a gap. He has a ways to go, will be in Santa Cruz alot but a ‘hell of a draft pick’

TJD then QP right after, i’m loving these mature picks.

glad to hear that, that physicality is going to be important. a lot of big guys with real skills get caught in that middle ground where they’re a little too slow to be a finesse guy, but they’re also too finesse to take advantage of their size.

no idea where Post will be a drop big, but if he can screen and rebound well, he’ll give himself a real shot at getting on the floor, because that shot is real.

Super physical? After SL many on this sub said he’s not physical and soft? 🤔

    > He seeks contact on both sides of the court

Draymond remembers the Wiseman experience so this is probably important to him

Man if we could have great seasons from rookies 2 years in a row, that would be incredible.

Draymond is not a good talent evaluator …

He thought the Owl would “dominate the league “. Drafted the Cincinnati kid. And the beat goes on.
