With the addition of Randle who is a much better drive and kick player than KAT, and Ant’s ability to penetrate and his growing development as a passer, especially on the kick-out, this offense could turn into something really exciting.
I’m envisioning a small ball lineup of Conley, Ant, DDV, Randle, and Naz as something that would be nutty.
Finch is going to have a massive amount of flexibility when it comes to lineups.

When you’ve got Ant’s gravitational pull on offense, it’s damn nice to have three of the best wide open shooters out there.
Would love to see this lineup tried, but also concerned about the rebounding and defensive drop off it could have. I might prefer even more to have this same lineup but with Jaden swapped with Conley to add some length.
Grayson Allen hasn’t been on the grizzlies in a hot minute.
We’ll see. Finch has to be excited.
This team has surreal quality and depth compared to history of franchise. KG never once had anything approaching this kind of depth.
Ant is top creator at SG in league. Randle is top three PF creator behind Giannis and Paulo.
Dilly will be top ten creator at PG by year 3. But solid 30% chance he is right away. Behind (not ranked) Brunson, SGA, Jamal Murray, Maxey, Lamelo, Trae, both Cleveland PG’s (!), Luka, Aaron Fox, Steph, and Harden.
Damn, that’s a dozen elite creators at PG. 6 of them are obvious HOFers.
Still, Wolves will have 2 or 3 elite one on one creators this season, after only one last year.
If the 2 rookies both contribute, if Randle fits in efficiently, i say we go all the way.
The contrast in offensive tempo between starting unit to the first sub halfway through the 1st with Rudy & Conley subbing out for Naz & DD is going to be crazy. We always stayed slower (albeit effective) with Naz and NAW/Kyle as the 1st quarter subs, but we’ll really be able to put the pedal down now with five guys who can push the ball up the floor.
1. Get wide open!
Joe Ingles’ 3PT% was .435 on 161 attempts last season with the Orlando Magic.
I want to see our 3PA go up some, but I would still make an effort to stay about 10th in the league. You don’t want to become reliant on the 3, even if you shoot well all season. I would just have nightmares about pulling a Houston Rockets in the playoffs (missing 27 in a row).
Aggression to the basket is the key. If the defense collapses, kick it out. If they stay home, find the opening close to the rim.
The biggest difference with this line-up, is Randle is a significant interior passing threat. This means Gobert can be closer without clogging things up for Randle too much. Gobert is MUCH better as a scorer when he can get to the rim with 1 or 0 dribbles. He needs someone to set him up though. This will force more defenses to defend the rim, which will also give us more open looks on the outside.
I’ve been thinking about the Randle trade for 4 months. I’m stoked that we got DDV in it too.
Honorable mention: Anthony Edwards – 41% on catch and shoot 3pt shots.

Against some of the smaller teams in the league, that would be a must-use lineup. Would be a lot of fun.
If we needed to get bigger, put Jaden at the 3 and go DDV-Ant in the backcourt.
