Green also used to hit open 3s when he played with Bogut etc. I thought he shot like 39% or something one season haha

    This seems about right!

Dray plays well when he has someone in the Center and he is able to move wherever the play evolves!

He is so smart defensively, that given the freedom, he often anticipates and then meets the play where it is going, and when you have someone like TJD able to come over and assist in the paint or even outright dominate anyone trying to come inside when Dray hands off the play, then you have a one-two punch on defense that worked very well in the past and we where sorely lacking last year!

This is going to be an interesting year!

    Go Dubs!

I heard that interview too, and given they are talking about Wiggins being second offensive option and main POA defender, and Green is starting (Kerr’s words) I think that means Kuminga starts the season on the bench.

With what I have gleaned from sources, I think it’s likely to be TJD, Dray, Wiggs, (could really insert anybody here, but im thinking Hield for shooting, but it could also be Melton, Podz, or Moody) and Steph. 2nd unit is probably Anderson, Kuminga, Moody, Melton and Podz and I’m not mad at that at all.

He can start and still play only 12 minutes or so there. TJD and Looney will be fine for the other 36 plus there’s the possibility of Quinten Post.

Egos need to be satisfied… unless the lineup plays poorly they should begin the season with Curry-Podz-Wiggs-JK-Dray.

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised is Kerr just goes back to Looney at the starting five again. It worked and won a championship in 2022 and was one of the best lineups in 2023. It’s just last year where he sucked, but so did Wiggs and Klay.

If Looney’s body is working again and he can really shoot I just won’t be surprised if Kerr goes back to his old faithful lineup of Curry, Wiggs, Dray and Looney. Klay is replaceable as shown when Poole started for half their games in 2022 and they didn’t miss a beat. They just need a shooter even with terrible defense(Poole) if Wiggs and Looney are back to normal, which we have in Hield now.

Dray cannot be expected to log major minutes at center. His body just won’t hold up.
