The main doubt on our Knicks is the bench. I know Thibs is known to not play his young players especially rookies but I think having coached RJ, quickly, as well as experiencing the positive impact that giving minutes to McBride was. You canāt sleep on our rookies. They may not initially get minutes but if they deserve minutes by earning them ; they will be important pieces into us having a championship level season. Add a healthy Mitch , Shamet, and Payne ( to start the season because I think Kolek will take most of his minutes by regular season end) . Not to mention I believe Jericho will have a career year as itās the first offseason heās healthy . Anything from Dadeit is a plus. We know what weāll get from our starting lineup. To win the chip weāll need our rookies to meaningfully contribute and Jericho to have a solid year which I donāt think is too crazy too far fetched. None of the league is factoring this and weāre gonna catch a lot of teams and Vegas off guard. Outside of Boston; which if what I just mentioned comes true weāll beat them convincingly in a 7 game series, the only team I see us having trouble with is OKC . if our rooks and Jericho contribute weāre eastern conference champs no doubt in my mind. Then itās coin flip against OKC but theyāve shown to fold on the big stage. Obviously we have to stay healthy . 60 wins I would be higher but we have to give time for the new pieces to acclimate and Thibs time to set the bench rotation.

What would make you think Thibs is gonna play Kolek?!? He's reluctant to play any rookie that wasn't drafted ridiculously early (making benching them difficult to justify). Plus, Kolek has shown he's not ready from a defensive standpoint (another huge pet peeve of Thibs'). Without injuries on the roster, there is no way he's gonna see the floor! He'll probably be at the games in street clothes! That's not to diss the guy, I love his potential, but right now? I seriously doubt it!
My hot take is Mikal will step up as the 2nd option but yea my opinion
I think Deuce should be the 2. Dog on D sharpshooter on offense. Hart should come off the bench.
Really what won me over is the spacing KAT will provide. It will help the entire team. And when you factor how Brunson scored last season its scary to think it will be even easier for him to score with KAT.
