Hi, folks. I've been writing articles on the Rockets for a couple of months now over on LWOS (Last Word on Sports). Figured some of the people here might be interested in them. Besides today's ode to The Franchise, here are some of my older articles…

Amen Thompson comp article:

https://lastwordonsports.com/basketball/2024/10/01/rockets-player-comp-former-dpoy-candidate/

Cam Whitmore comp article:

https://lastwordonsports.com/basketball/2024/09/28/rockets-player-comp-a-finals-mvp/

Jalen and Sengun article:

https://lastwordonsports.com/basketball/2024/08/02/rockets-need-an-all-time-fourth-year-leap/

Also, please bear in mind I have never posted on Reddit before and have no idea what I am doing.

I think the article overlooks era adjusted stats.

Obviously not perfect stats, but 8th in win shares and 6th in VORP for us despite playing way less games than the people ahead of him, minus TMAC who joined as an all-star, not a rookie or young player.

Francis was 20/6/6 on higher than league average TS% in an era where 20 was not as common.

For his 6 years in Houston, Francis had a .533 TS%, vs league average of .519.

Francis was light years above Green after 3 seasons.

    20/7/6 on 36% from 3, .543 TS.
