Its preseason
Still, if you are getting 10-12 pts, 4-6 rebs, and 8-10 assists off your bench in like 18-24 mins per night, you'll take that.
The most important thing was the easier shots he was creating for teammates.
If you watched the game until the end, you saw as soon as there was no true pg(no Murray, Russ, or Jokic) to get guys easier shots, the offense stalled completely and The Celtics subs were able to overtake The Nuggets subs because they had a few more skilled iso scorers.
The Westbrook mins were a +4 which is decent, considering he was playing with reserve level basketball players.
You would like him to be 5-10 rather than 3-10 but 4 of the 10 shots were around the rim(6 were from 3)
You would like to see 2-4 from near the rim or 3-4, rather than 0-4, and 3-6 from 3 is probably 4 deep shots too many…..but i think you want Russ, CB, and AG to take those open shots when the defense sags….
All in all i thought when The Nuggets starters and main reserves played, The Nuggets were pretty good.
I think Russ is really going to help them!
Too much over examination of preseason game. Like that hes hitting his 3 & getting to the rim . Layups missing is byproduct of him not having his timing & legs yet. Jokic all so-called stars misswd layups. Overall great showing
