The New York Knicks continue to make impactful moves to help this franchise and this time, its by bringing back a Knick Legend, #33 himself, Patrick Ewing. Joining the Knicks as a basketball ambassador for NY, he’ll be helping NY on and off the floor. He was also recently spotted at the Knick training facility with newest Knick, Karl-Anthony Towns, arguably the best big man on the team since Ewing himself. KAT working with Ewing in any capacity could be a huge win for NY… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

This has to be Troy recap the best thing to happen in the Knicks organization ever id hoped and prayed that the Knicks bring back 33 the center Patrick Ewing home to be with the organization with Karl Anthony towns what a deadly combination.

Still telling the "Randle wasn't going to sign an extension" lie, I see. Randle wanted to be a Knick. If the Knicks offered him an extension, he would have signed it. The Knicks traded him because they think KAT is a better player. They didn't extend him because he had more value as an expiring contract.
Also, nothing KAT does with the Knicks will make the Wolves regret the trade. It was a salary dump. They saved 155 million in salary (plus penalties) and got Donte. They're good. The trade will work out for both teams.
WHY? He has nothing to teach. He was Dwight Howard's personal coach in ORL for over 10 years & D12 had to go to The Dream in the off-season after year 8 or 9 to learn post work, then worked with him & McHale again in HOU. Dream called him "raw", the way they describe rookies in his 12th year.
WHAT WAS PAT DOING WITH HIM FOR 10 YEARS?!?!
What did he do with the bigs in CHA or in his bad 2 seasons coaching at Georgetown?

Patrick Ewing, the reason I got hooked on Basketball, back to the team, that also defined 90ies Bball.. just warms my heart. Give him Towns, Ariel Hukporti, and Robinson to work with and get them honed for the season/ future. Ramp up the defensive intensity and that mid range turnaround jump shot and we are golden!
