The starters did their thing which is the important part, sucks the young guys at the end couldn't close it out but they will only get better with experience, that's what pre season is for. Next game up.

Bronny scary he not ready
Despite having a 12 points headstart, our bench unit still lost this game against one of the worst bench in the entire league. The Suns have been mocked many times for having a really weak bench because of Beal, KD and Booker's contracts, but our bench is even worst.
We're so thin talentwise, it's glaring. Gabe, Christie, Bronny, JHS, Hayes and Reddish would all be garbage time and gleague players on any contender team, but some of those guys are our second unit.
The only real proven NBA level talent we have are AR, Rui, DLo, LBJ, AD and Vanderbilt if he can come back healthy. Out of those 6 players, none of them are 3 and D aka the most valuable and sought after archetype in the entire league. DLo cannot be counted on during playoffs, Rui is really bad at anything else but shooting the ball and both Reaves and Vanderbilt are strongly one dimensional players.

we really need a big guy when AD's off the floor. JH is not bad, but not good enough. And what's going on with Vando? Still not available after this long rest?
This group looks like an entirely different team already this is crazy. Everybody is shooting three's with confidence, the ball isn't sticking in Lebron/AD's hands, players are cutting, moving, they're running set plays, all the guys seem empowered to attack aggressively on offense, and on defense they're walling off guys. Max Christie looks amazing on defense, the missing piece the Lakers needed, DLo and Reaves are competing on defense, which is all you can ask out of them, and Dalton Knecht is out here making plays on defense. Also making mistakes, but he's still just a rookie afterall.
I think the Lakers are gonna surprise some the league this year

Whose the guy that got wrecked by security
As much as i would like to support bronny, his numbers in terms of in court efficiency so far are negative. 4 TOs and 2 rebs in 13mins of play shows he really is not yet ready to be here. I hope he gets more development in the G League especially in terms of motivation, hustle and hunger to want to be actually in the NBA.
I watched the game, and i know he is not expected to score at least more than 10 as his averages are just below 5pts/game. But at least i want to see that hustle on defense, more than just the deflections. He looked like a guy who was just there to complete the 5 man on the floor, while the other guys like castleton was showing they can be assets to the team.
I hate to say it but he looked like he got to be somewhere else today.
