    Does this mean he’s part of the Bucks org now? Not sure how this whole thing works since just coming off baseball with their minor system

    I would take Merrill over a few guys on the roster tbh. He’s a sharpshooter and has a lightning quick release.

    40% from three last year at 17.5 minutes per game. Glad he’s back

  5. This does not mean he’s on the Bucks, it means if his contract expires the Herd get first shot at signing him to a G league contract.

    Merrill is on a full NBA deal with the Cavs.

    Next summer when he is a FA, any NBA team can still sign him.

    FYI this is totally separate from Merrill’s NBA rights. He’s still a Cleveland Cavalier. If he ever is no longer an NBA player and signs with the G League he’d be a Herd player. Unless the Cavs cut him, this means nothing for his status this season.
