The Gil’s Arena podcast crew PICKS apart PJ Tucker and his attitude in the upcoming NBA season. Obviously, the Los Angeles Clippers decided to bench him and put him away from the team. His conduct and mental is poison for the team. Gilbert Arenas says that he needs to be more a Thanasis Antetokounmpo, not a James Harden. He needs to be positive about the future and be happy that he is there not arguing with the front office. Rashad thinks that PJ Tucker has some weight to stand on though since he is an NBA Champion.

The league is low key moving away from Vets at this point. There’s only so many that are still standing outside of the superstars. The only way to survive is if you’re great at a certain role. PJ Tucker would be fine if he was still providing offense the same.

If you’re a Vet in this modern era NBA be comfortable taking on a mentorship role vs looking for big minutes.
Although PJ may feel he has a lot more in the tank, his time has passed. Give those minutes to a player that can benefit from the time on the court.

The problem is, it’s a tough pill for most players to swallow realizing they aren’t the same impact player they once were. Thanasis has never been that, so he’s just happy to be on the team and making money.
