  1. Far as a positive win in just a preseason game…just starting out with wins gives the team something positive to look at and not put here we go again with the losing. The defense and passing was really noticeable. Building a identity is really important.

  2. Really gonna look at duren this season. Would like for him to match the energy that stew has and be a better defender along with the rebounder he is.

  3. Details matter. We played no defense, had no offense, to start the game. The starting unit had nothing for a front line. After Holland came in, and joined the front line defense, we went on to bury Milwaukee, beating them by 50, for the rest of the game.

Our front line matters. As bad as playing THJ, Fontecchio, Duren as our front line, switching in Harris for THJ will do no better. Duren can't do all the helpside D at the hoop all by himself.

We have 4 guys who can play power forward – Reed, Thompson, Holland, Klintman. Note, Stewart, Harris, Fontecchio, are not on the list. None of these 3 can get over from helpside to provide D at the hoop; for lack of height and athleticism. No amount of coaching these players will ever make them taller, or more athletic. They are what they are.

Harris and Fontecchio can play small forward, but all of the youngsters Thompson, Holland, and Klintman can also play at small forward – so in a fair competition, there is no assurance either will stay in the rotation. And there is Beasley, who is plenty athletic enough to play small forward.

Also, besides saying who did well, got to mention who certainly did not – THJ.

And, got to mention things started turning around when Beasley came in for Ivey. No, I'm not suggesting Beasley start instead of Ivey, but, they could start Cade, Ivey, Beasley, Harris, Duren.

  4. Moore should be mentioned too. Lots of scoring, and excellent defense. Yes, Milwaukee had no starters in, but same goes for how Sasser did.
