In the nicest way possible, thank god we didn’t land Beal. The contract feels too hard to justify with the no trade clause, and he played in 2 less games than Khris last year. Just doesn’t make too much sense for us

I thought Beal said that we tried to trade Jrue to the wizards but he wanted us to trade Khris instead. Am I misremembering?

I think this was reported back in the day. It was always going to be tricky to get it done. Dame all day anyway. Beal not enough of an upgrade if at all over Khris lol
Also I’m going to ignore the whole loyalty aspect lol. Khris was hurt in ’22 and then we were upset by the heat and has been hurt some more. Nothing is off the table when you gotta make changes after that ’23 season, especially with other teams getting better too

We have always lacked size on the wing and trading KMidd for a guy who does the same things on offense but is 3 inches shorter 20 lbs lighter and doesn’t play defense yeah, IDK what’s the upside unless they thought Middleton was going to be injured all the time.
