Saying that we have too many people at Kisperts position is part of the problem. None of those guys are showing 3pt career stats when Kispert is. We keep filling our positions with mediocre.

Everyone is always so focused on the exact words Darko uses. Just look at the context more often and he is simply saying Chris has been a great guy and has surprisingly allowed me to coach him (thats praise). Meaning he is starting to adapt to my ball movement heavy system and I appreciate his maturity. Not that he is publicly taking shots at the guy. Seen this on a few videos ago too where people legit look at his comments and get all salty about them. The dudes a nice guy at the very least, no need to assume otherwise. If he says something slightly off, get over it and apply the propper context vs the "gatcha" context. People grow at 32 still, some do, some don't. Plenty of examples of players reinventing their game so I not sure why its out the question that Boucher could learn how to swing the ball ?
Let Boucher start. He'll grab more boards them siakam and put up around 14ppg

What is wrong with Darkos comment? He is teaching boucher to fit in his offense. darko is a developmental coach. Even if bouche dont fit then at least his value will be upped. Good comment to say he treat players like rookies. States his commitment to teaching.
Trade rumours again? Nah this year is stage 1.5 of rebuild. Focus on development and then trade for need. I really want KO at the 4 and a bu 5 in development offa the bench. Combining what they learn from both jak an KO will be valuable to the young 5

It's predictable that these trade options brought up by American media make no sense for the Raptors. They never do. Every option is an overpaid player that teams are looking to unload in a terrible deal for the Raps.
Raps have 2 glaring holes in the 2nd unit (bigs) (wings – outside the starters, our wings are weak and inexperienced), gonna need Fernando, and Boucher as bigs (who both have a chance to take this season and show the NBA they're worth another contract). Successful teams run a 3 PG system, hope Shead works out – if not Ball is interesting. Aside from KO, Mitchell, and BB, and Fernando, Raps have 3rd stringers on their bench (98%) 1st, 2nd year rookies learning on the fly. Gonna need two of those rookies to show they can play ball – if Chomche is ne of them, that would be sweet!

I am really happy Chris Boucher is being considered in the rotation. He always brings energy.
@benrogers the reality is under nick nurse, he just used boucher for 3 pt shooting, hustle and defence. nurse didnt teach boucher how to play basketball really off ball other than shoot the 3. so darko is in a way teaching chris boucher where he should go or not go when he doesnt have the ball to impact winning on the team. this is so chris boucher doesnt make bone head plays as a veteran that makes him a liability.

Every player should be open to coaching from someone like Darko.
Boucher should have played for team Canada. Didn't look like he was really being unselfish when he turned them down a couple of times.
Corey Kispert, Duncan Robinson, and Lonzo Ball doesn’t make any sense at all unless a 2025 with limited protection or an unprotected first round pick attached to it.
If there was any time to be losing games and tanking, this is the season to do it. I just don’t see how any of three guys can take us to the next level.
We need a defensive to at least neutral or better big wing. I project RJB at SG. We have PG locked, SG too many! I think G Dick will end up playing SF mostly yes I know RJ is 6’6” but IQ and our PGs are small if you put RJ and Ja’Kobe at SG you keep that position decent to big. SF we are undersized and experienced as Most folks saw SB as a natural PF in a recent poll on real GM. CB, J-Mo, KO, all PF to C. BF, JP straight C
Our best move is to use BB and small draft capital to upgrade starting SF since we turned OG into a starting PG and SG.
ATL Hunter, Nets C Johnson (my favorite) or Finney-Smith, A Wiggins, Dillon B there are some but not a lot. All have some flaw but not asking them to be a top 3 option or be an Allstar just give some decent starter level play.
If FO does not want that we should tank to ensure we get one in draft or longer term C. I love JP but even MJ and LBJ were 27-28 before winning a Chip. SB and RJ are 23/24 we need to have a player help them get experience and then trade for final piece down the line. We need JP to be backup by then at less $ if he wants to stay?
It's not really a "pass-first" offense. It's about movement and getting quality shots. NN basically taught a James Harden style of play where 1 person dribbles, and everyone stands there and waits for a bailout shot. That's not basketball

Darko is all BS about Chris!!! He realizes Chris was benched and they didn't unload him, so he needs minutes so they can get something, anything for him. Darko is making mistakes time after time with his more experienced players. He thinks he doesn't have to deal with them, and they will just disappear! He thinks he only inherited young players. It's time Darko to look at what you really have. Most of us know he is just telling more stories about the true fate of a seasoned Raptor. Chris is gone as soon as they can get rid of him.
The only players we should trade for is SF defensive forward Herb Jones and back Center man Nick Richards.
