Crvena Zvezda MeridianBet Belgrade remained undefeated in the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague by downing Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 78-71 at Belgrade Arena in Round 2 on Wednesday.

Isaiah Canaan paced the winners with 19 points. Joel Bolomboy added 15 points and 8 rebounds while Nikola Kalinic had 12 points for Zvezda. Chima Moneke led Baskonia with 19 points on 7-of-7 two-point shooting. Donta Hall added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the visitors. Zvezda improved to 2-0 in the standings while Baskonia dropped to 1-1.

    Zvezdas primary goal should be to win most of their home games. And win the away games against the last 7-8 teams. It’s to early to say. But the team this year is much better

    Crvena zvezda is a favorite of the authoritarian government and a state project based on the principle of one leader, one nation, one club. Literally everyone in Serbia is made aware of this, to humiliate the opponent and not to think of raising his head. For the last ten years, they have been receiving huge amounts of money from the state, fixing matches, threatening and intimidating opponents, and having the support of judges. There was no such protection in any totalitarian state from North Korea to Qatar. A disgrace and a shame for such a big club that people in Serbia support the most.

    To je taj pristup koji je falio Partizanu prošlu utakmicu protiv Baskonie. Bez ovakvkog pristupa nema rezultata u EL.
