Danny will always be a Raptors legend.
People get all hung up on goat this and goat that and actually talk about titles as if they’re individual achievements. Teams win titles and having guys like Danny Green on your team is a HUGE difference between winning and losing that title. More than the quality of one of the greatest players ever over another greatest players ever. When I think of intense, suffocating defence Danny Green on those Spurs runs will always be on of the first names that come to mind. He’s gonna get forgotten in NBA history but never, ever by the people history actually remembers.
I’m shocked he lasted much after he left here, he was pretty brutal that last series, but was happy to see him win another chip. Sad that Embiid destroyed his knee, but i think he’d be done regardless.
