To me the most important thing with lineups is to not have Murray attempt to be a playmaker. Whenever Jokic goes to the bench, he either needs to go with him, or they need to bring Westbrook in as well and move Murray to the shooting guard position. Under no circumstances should he be "running" the team. Also, by far the most important lineup next season is the one that does not have Jokic in it, but is able to work well and keep up with the opposing teams.
You are very big Jamal defender, and you want Jamal to be always in line up with Jokic, because his +/- was always negative with a bench, at the other hand Jokic does not need Jamal to be effective. I would like line up with Braun, Watson and Jokic (Nikola is better working with size and defense around him, I would not like line up with Saric and Jokic at same time as I did not like line ups with Jeff and Jokic.
We also do not know is Jamal good or bad player (he just played 7 games in his all career without Jokic), and he should be effective enough to lead bench without Nikola.
Great job, Ryan, here and @ Locked on Nuggets. Appreciate the insights and content, but to me, the Nuggets have very limited resources & need to add a veteran or two in n case of injury or just to give the starters more rest. Cal made the mistake of saying the Nuggets have 9 players. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in players 10-15. How about Justin Holiday, Markelle Fultz, Lonnie Walker who I think will be released by the Celtics?
