Though it wasn’t a monster stat line and Zion didn’t score a lot, he still had a great game
2 blocks, 12 boards, he was active all night. Despite only dishing out 4 assists, he made some key plays down the stretch, starting with the assist to Herb for three then to Larry for a dunk
He then closed it out with a clutch bucket, to put us up 8
It was a fun game to watch. Watching Zion bring it on the defensive end. Watching him play with a different energy, just seeing him being active on that end makes me smile
He also went 9-9 from the line, made the defenders pay every time they fouled him
In a gritty game like this one, he showed why it was a good idea to give him the ball when it mattered. He was the best player all night, made things work when it seemed like Philly was closing in. Finished the game strong and got the dub
