The Kobe-Gueye 2 man game is the stuff of nightmares. Good grief

Is it safe for the Kobe skeptics to come out now?

Everyone who shot the ball with volume tonight had some of the worst shooting nights I think we will see from them this year.

If the ball doesn’t go in the hoop, basketball is hard to win.
Trae also turned the ball over 9 times in less than 30 minutes. Our defense was surprisingly good by Hawks standards and a lot of Trae’s less stupid turnovers were a result of more ball movement within the offense. Believe it or not, this game didn’t quell my optimism very much at all.

I’m liking what I’m seeing from Roddy in limited minutes. Wish Dom Barlow would have gotten some run too! Zaccharie will be just fine 🔥

Dyson Daniels and Risacher are real hoopers. Everyone else looks like they’re in preseason form

  6. Definitely uglier than last week but I’m glad we faced some adversity.  Put some shitty play on tape for everybody to work through.  I trust our staff and we have multiple high IQ guys now.  I wish we didn’t have an away b2b so we could really iron some kinks out in practice but oh well.

Oh yeah and Zacch is him.

I’m going to as nice as possible:

I don’t see a reality where starting DeAndre Hunter on opening night makes this team better.

Whatever it’s preseason. Generally liked what i saw from the main rotation even though trae had a disgusting stat line (in a bad way).

Risacher seems like he is going to be an important player immediately. Really happy with the pick. Already knew Daniels was going to be amazing for us defensively, but I liked that he was the first to get up and confront Martin after that hard foul (that was actually a clean block) on Risacher. Can’t even tell you the number of times over the last few years where someone (usually trae) takes a dirty hit and nobody on our team does shit about it.

Was a little concerned by what I saw from Bufkin. Expecting him to be an impactful and quality role player this year, and he looked extremely outmatched by rookies and end-of-the-bench/G-League guys.

Listen, I would never dare to question Bob and Nique, but… it *is* pronounced Reez-a-shay, right? Not Reesh-a-shay?

Gueye fandom ended I am now a Barlow Head

whats funny is I think Kobe’s vision is pretty good, good enough to where he/bogi/vit can keep the offense afloat for the 12 or so mins a night that trae sits. Not close to being able to score in the NBA though

Everyone shot like shit. Dont think we will have many games where trae & bogi & jalen all play that poorly. Dyson was a demon on defense and Zacch was good again and that is all i will choose to care about

Dre and Mo i’m sorry guys but 👉🚪

  13. De’Andre Hunter STILL ain’t it. He should not be starting.

Shoutout to Larry Nance, struggled with the free throws, but getting 7 offensive boards (10 total) in limited minutes is huge! Dyson played amazing defense and helped keep this game close to begin with. Locking down Maxey is not easy.

I’d like Trae to minimize turnovers, and be more chill with refs, but team high assists as expected! Lots to clean up here, but we’re working with something.

  15. MiserableSoft2344

I think Kobe looked good when he wasn’t shooting the basketball. He’s in solid control of the offense but he still isn’t able to create open looks for himself just yet. That’s a learning process and he looks good enough to keep the second unit afloat.

One of those nights, glad it was a preseason game 😂

Zacc looked great, Dyson looked great and Nance is a hooper. All I could really ask for honestly

We gonna be solid this year. Tough shooting night, but felt like shot diet was really good. Good chunk of no contest to low contest looks on offense. Dyson is a menace.
