The CHGO Bulls crew dive into an exclusive interview Josh Giddey gave to Will Gottlieb before the Chicago Bulls game vs the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. In the interview, Giddey analyzed how the Thunder – and his role within the team – changed so rapidly during his final season in OKC. Giddey was very candid about how difficult the process was for him, calling it a career “low point.” But his time spent with the Australian national team this summer, and a fresh start with the Bulls, has rejuvenated his confidence. Josh was in a great place at the Thunder but no one saw J-Dub coming on as strong as he did and Chet firing as well.
Only one ball to share around so many good players and he went from second banana to being asked to fill a role he had never played.
The trade was a win for Bulls long term but also a win for Thunder filling an immediate need.
It’s become more common to score a triple double in the NBA and Josh is still the youngest player ever to do it as well sharing a record for 3 in a row as a rookie with Oscar Robertson .
Giddey would do well practicing his finger-roll 🫴🤌🏀🗑️
Giddey needs to become a scoring threat and not one dimensional. He gives up too many open shots. He too predictable.
