20-46 vs 5-23 from three. I haven’t seen that kind of three-point shooting disparity since the Rockets missed 27 in a row.

Thankfully, we got back-to-back good Scoot games and he closed it out in the end for us.

THIS was a great game from scoot

  3. clumsy_aerialist

Respectable showing from Scoot against a decent team with some promising prospects on its roster. You love to see it.

  4. toadtruck

Scoot was robe and slippers comfortable out there. Young fella was in total control

  5. ChrisE123

Scoot with a solid game. They played a weak team, but his decision making was great tonight.

Couldn’t even watch the game. Scoot has a nice stat line with no turnovers so I assume he did well

  7. ScootWeedDealer

Scoot 23/6/5 on 10/14 shooting 0 TO and 2 steals with a +21. Haters are pretty quite lately.

Watching this game… Scoot would destroy in college and probably go in the top 3 again as a sophomore. Praying for him to show it against NBA competition.

I’m so glad we won. Donovan Clingan Has been whispering to me from my closet as I sleep completely paralyzed. He was telling me I owe a life for a loss. Anyways, go blazers!!

    Scoot Henderson tonight
    23 Points
    5 Rebounds
    6 Assists
    2 Steals
    0 Turnovers
    + 21

Scoot Henderson is going prove a lot people wrong this season.

I didn’t watch, but will watch replay later. Stat wise you couldn’t ask for a better game from scoot

Loved what i saw out of Deni in the first half. The rim pressure, the playmaking, the high motor/tempo, and he was making plays on the defensive end as well. Basically all of the things he brings to this team on paper was on full display in this game. The only critique i have is i want to see him shoot more 3’s.

I’ve seen enough. Scoot is now the greatest point guard who ever lived and he will win most improved and all star MVP. Am I doing this right?

Rupert looked pretty decent so far, glad to see the steady improvement from last year.

Couldn’t watch the game but LOVE to see such a beautiful statline from Scoot. Deni seemed to have been great too

The demise of Scoot Henderson has been greatly exaggerated.

9-11 2PT shooting is by far the best I’ve seen from Scoot.

I guess Scoot did get some “good food” last year.

I think its unfair to call Ulm a weak team. They were a tough out, no other way to slice it. Just could not miss from 3.

But it’s good to see Scoot almost single-handedly win us that game. The man just bullied those guards late. Crushed two amazing dunks and shrugged off all comers when he couldn’t. His defense was also excellent; that last sequence sniffing out the pass and then lobbing it to Clingan was *chef’s kiss*

Tou with the double-double. Unimpeachable energy there. He needs a slightly better touch at the rim still, but he’s getting there. And his 3 point form is solid.

Clingan had a tough offensive game, but I think it was a case of his teammates trying these really dumb/tough hand offs. Just lob it to him. He’s an absolute unit and can out-reach almost anybody in small quarters. Loved his defensive impact, though.

Murray hit 3s! And he looks so much more comfortable out there being a Swiss army knife on the boards, disrupting passing lanes. Love to see it.

Rupert also looked way more comfortable. His transition finishing was absolutely an improvement from last year’s summer league. That spin in transition was nifty.

Reath looked lost out there, unfortunately. McGowens and Banton struggled mightily with the handle. Nearly gave the game away.

Not much notes beyond that. Excited for the season to start.

Out of the loop. Who’s the opponent? And were there really 11,000 people in the rose garden?

Scoot is G league good, but can he play like this against a big bad NBA team?

I admit I was questioning Scoot after the first game. He looked legit tonight. I think he shot too much in that first game. He was in control tonight and had some nice highlights. If he can do this every night I would be ecstatic.

Glad I got to find a way to watch the game. Fun one despite the competition and it being a Jumbotron stream. My thoughts on the game:

-Deni really looks like a natural playmaker, more than I expected from him. Every time he drives, he is looking to make a play for other if he doesn’t have a shot for himself. Its clear that he is super rusty right now with finding where his teammates are able to catch the ball (Tricky job for him with Ayton/Scoot) but once he gets comfortable, he is going to throw a ton of lobs and have a lot of 5+ assist nights for us. I hope that he gets a ton of reps on the ball this year!

-Not sure how I feel about Saraf and Noa yet. Both are extremely young and I thought it was very impressive for both to hold their own tonight. Saraf is very crafty and able to get to his spots, I wonder if he will have enough burst and athleticism to be a primary ball handler. I think someone like Traore would have been better and I prefer his ability to create jumpshots for himself to go along with his craftiness and PnR play. Noa similar idea but that jumpshot looks legit. 17 year old with that much size and that good of a jump shooter is pretty intriguing

To be honest, the team looked way better than last time.

I bet we’ll see more alley oops from Deni to Ayton too (DA to DA), as Deni used to do it a lot with Daniel Gafford and Kuzma.

It’s been a while since I saw Ayton so determined and competitive. I wonder what got into him – it’s a good sign!

The reports said that about 50 scouts attended the arena for this game.

They were focusing on Noa Essengue and Ben Saraf.

Both of them did great in comparison for their first NBA (sort of) scale match, and their young age (Noa is 17, Saraf is 18).

They are both expected to be selected in the 1st round of the 2025 NBA Draft, and Noa is expected to be top 5 (Saraf top 15).

Essengue is a forward, and Saraf is a PG (also from Israel, like Deni).

I think Essengue did better on the defensive side, though Saraf wasn’t far off from blocking Scoot fastbreak dunk off Deni fullcourt pass.
