The NBA regular season is only a few days away and NY is facing another issue to finalize their roster. Landry Shamet, who likely would have made the roster, recently got injured against the Charlotte Hornets in the preseason. We are still waiting on updates regarding the time he’ll miss but the injury was deemed significant. The Knicks must now scramble to understand what players to add to the team if Shamet misses a lot of time. Everything happens for a reason. Not a fan of Landry Shamet's shooting which was poor in the preseason. I am a fan of Kevin McCullar Jr. and reminds me a lot of Josh Hart. He would have went went higher in the draft if he wasn't hurt.
Shamet had one decent game . I feel he’s over rated from the onset…… looked pretty mid every game since the first👀🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

I loved the McCullar pick, he was a steal, but I think they should keep him as a two-way player since he's one of the few guys actually eligible to be one. Let him take all the time he needs to get healthy and get experience in the G-League. Hukporti's contract on the other-hand is most likely to get converted because of how well he's been playing. He provides insurance in case any of the Knick bigs get hurt. So if Hukporti makes it 13 guaranteed contracts, I believe they have 2 more spots. They gotta go with Shamet and TJ Warren. Even if Shamet's injury takes him out for a long period they have Dadiet already on a guaranteed contract. If he continues to play well they wouldn't need to go look for another free agent. Plus, TJ Warren would be there in this scenario if Thibs isn't ready to rely on Dadiet.

Shamet is an obvious no-go. He's not aggressive enough, and his shooting is too inconsistent. Go with the rookies.
