Time to get really excited about the Warriors after comfortable win over Lakers?
The Golden State Warriors extended their preseason winning streak to five after a 111-97 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Las Vegas. Tuesday’s game saw the return of Andrew Wiggins, and with him an intriguing starting lineup that Steve Kerr could persist with going into the regular season.
It was the Warrior bench that again proved the difference though, led by a game-high 21 points from Moses Moody. More on him, the starting lineup and every Warrior player in this episode of the podcast!

Wiggins so active defensively
Would you persist with the Curry, Wiggins, Kuminga, Green and Jackson-Davis starting five?
This is what I think it is most likely going to be.
Starting lineup: Curry, Wiggins, JK, Draymond, and TJD
Bench: Podz, Hield, Kyle Anderson, Looney and either Melton, GP2, Moody, or Waters
If the starting lineup is earned with preseason performances, the lineup should be Steph, Moody, JK, Dray, TJD.
With so many quality players This whole group is only as good individually as their last performance. So reward and punishment ought to be administered accordingly with playing time.
Wiggins just needs to get into a rhythm and that lineup will be a lot better and more potent. Wiggins is clearly rusty

Haven’t watched this game yet but I am in agreement with you on the starting 5! This is their tallest and best defensive lineup. I wouldn’t even mind seeing Moody start and bring JK or Wigs off the bench to start the season just to see what Moody can do over 5-10 games. Would be a great win Friday not only to beat Lakers 2x but to cap off a great preseason! Thx for your work and Go Dubs!
Davis had a field day. The Warriors still can't defend against elite bigs. Who will (effectively) guard Jokic, Giannis, Embid?
I think the preseason shows that everyone on this deep roster especially the new acquisitions are pieces that fit. If I had a question it would be do they have enough plus defenders (Draymond, Wigs, Melton, GP, BP) are the plus defenders. Looney was once a good perimeter defender for a 5 and can this new slim Looney return to that? Can Trace who gives good rim protection improve his low post defense against the top attack the basket bigs like Davis and Antetokounmpo?
If he can tell Chris Paul he is coming off the bench he has set the precedent to do this with maybe Wigs? Wigs has to know Steve has totally stood by him.
The time of moody has arrived!!!!
Tidbits: Moody is 14-15 from the line this preseason. JK is 9-18. Take from that what you will. Notable in last nights game the starting unit was 3-19 from deep and Hield was 2-10. Moody was 5-7 equaling the 3s made from the starters and Hield combined. Moody needs to play. If he’s buried again this season it’s criminal. He needs to be the 7th or 8th man at worst.
I like the lineup look, but what sucks is the clear game shape wiggins needs to get back into. With only 1 pre season game left for the warriors, idk that its enough reps.
First 7 games of the regular season are winnable…and i think the warriors NEED those wins before they hit the tougher matchups.
Idk if Kerr should start Wiggins, till hes truly back.

The Warriors won’t win if Kerr doesn’t start his best players, one of which is Moody. The kid plays well, every night, brings the energy, defends, has length and can score, and every night Kerr dismisses his performance as average, and says he has other guys he has to play. The one man who can tank the Warriors is their coach

I see so many questioning Kerrs coaching. Me included!! Is Kerr a good coach or not? His rotations is why i question him!! What's your reason? I'm really curious. Is the Warriors talent better then the coaching and Kerr cruises through? Does Kerr see things WE can't? I NEED understanding!! Is it Kerr Ego?
Preseason does matter, to an extent. I would rather be 5-0 then 1-4!! Chemistry build up does matter. Your team must suck in Preseason, lol. Warriors are building strength in numbers and strength in Chemistry!! Boston will Not repeat, bet!! Haters of Boston and proud of it.
