The preseason is essentially practice, it's when teams have the chance to try things they would not try if the game mattered. They'll take big risks, try things they've never tried, try new rotations, players may try a change to their shot mechanics, all kinds of things that they can't try once the regular season starts. Many teams have been bad in the preseason and been an elite team come the regular season. Sure it's a bit concerning to watch but let's not freak out before the season has even started, not like we lost any big contributors.

It’s preseason. I doubt they showed barely anything they were actually working on

I think Mike Brown is playing chess. He's using preseason to let the players figure it out but once the season starts, He'll start to really coach.
