Probably I'm in a minority in todays basketball, But I miss classic style centers like him. Hope he stays healthy and continue to improve his defensive capabilities as well as develop a hook shot similar to Kareem's.
He is actually fast on the court. His huge strides cover a ton of ground so he will catch opponents off guard. Also has a nice soft touch like Joker. He will be a top 5 defender as well. Memphis is a playoff team that had the fortune of loosing enough to grab this amazing young big. Day 1 starter for sure. I like that all it took was 1 summer league game and the coach was like yeah Edey don't need to prove anything else.
Regarding the spacing…. can they use him like Jokic? Just run a few plays with him at the elbow as a hub. Bane on the weak side for the 3. They can run some pick n rolls to get Ja downhill and pull the big away from the hoop. They have options
8 years, been playing basket ball for 8 years. Absolute legend!!! Wait until he hones his shot with his body towards the basket. He is going to change the NBA game, You cant double team all the time in the NBA

he did that against a 2X blocks leader in Turner, there’s less than 5 bigs in the league that will be able to guard him 1 on 1
He is one of the top workers in the league. The jump he’s had from his Sophmore to Senior year is nuts.
