Aaron Gordon signs contract extension, Nuggets core locked in | Pickaxe and Roll

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn goes dover the new contract extension Aaron Gordon signed last night with the Denver Nuggets to keep him on the team through the 2028-29 season. It’s a 4-year, $133 million deal and surprisingly advantageous to the Nuggets, especially early on. Will Denver take advantage? Ryan also discusses the new construction project around Ball Arena being approved and previews NBA Opening Night.

  1. I’m a delighted by this, but surprised. Wasn’t the reason Nnaji was signed for $32M/4 through 27-28 was that he was supposed to become Aaron Gordon starting this season?

  2. So happy for AG, he also seems to like it here which is a bonus for Denver. I hope he can find some peace after the tragedy earlier this year, RIP Drew.
